Anyone been up to Bogus this week? I'm on call so it kinda leaves me out of any good group rides but I'm thinking about hitting up Bogus right after work on Friday or possibly going on Saturday morning.
Haven't been up there since last weekend. I know its gotta be better than it was then tho. Post up when ur going, i might be able to give ya some company.
I went up halfway Tuesday (twice) and it wasn't bad--it was only slightly better than when a small group of us went up last Friday. There's still some sand, though, and the cattle were still roaming around. I'll be up there tonight, so wave as you pass me around the outside with your knee down.
I hear the mormon crickets are moving in, that means its going to get real slick up there real soon. This is soupposedly one of the largest hatches on record. They turn the road to snot and dont come off your bike and when they are cooking to your headers they make a horrible smell. stinky mormons :joke:
Crud, I forgot about the crickets. There was a news story on Monday showing them completely covering the road by the Oregon border. I'm hoping I can sneak one ride in before they get here.
Great! Crickets...one more thing to add to the list of crap on the road. All the more reason for me to get more rides in b4 they get here. I'll definately be going for a ride around 5ish tonight then. Anyone else up for it let me know. Otherwise i might run into Cider on the way up or down.
There is a chance I might make it tonight depending on how the afternoon goes. I also know a guy who is new in town and wants a GSXR750, too. He's on an R6 right now and he makes me look like I'm standing still. If I can reach him, I'll let him know about the ride.
Watch for cops. There were 3 cops at the bottom yesterday and Butter's brother got a wreckless drvining tickt for a wheelie he didn't do. :up_yours: olice:
Thanks for the ride guys; it was fun. I must taste good to the bugs because I got a bee in my jacket again, and he stuck me just as I pulled into the garage. So far this year: 2 in the jacket and 1 in the helmet.
Thanks for the ride guys. It was good to meet Durka & Nick as well. I did feel COMPLETELY surrounded by GSXR's though. If Cider weren't there, I would have thought it was some kind of conspiracy.
It was a good ride for me. A lot better road conditions than last time. And the only problem for me was the opposing traffic. Anyways, here are a couple pixs that i took of us from my cell.
