  1. The organizers for War Eagle Speedway put on a big display today in Mtn. Home at the new Hampton Inn convention room. They have a ROAD COURSE all layed out and it will be built at the War Eagle complex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dblthumb: I looked at it (at great length) and it looks really good.

I talked with one of the track designers personaly, asked him about run-off area, track length and time estimate.

"Plenty of run-off, 2 1/2 to 3 miles long with a few elivation changes and early to mid 08".

Looks like my new bike this comming spring (07) will be a track bike!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap :smilieRR: :clap

  2. I asked when they will start, they said "we will break ground this fall". When I asked if they could start tommoro, they got a good laugh!! :slap:
  3. with my cartman voice SSSWWWEEEETTTT :dblthumb: :smilieRR:

Yeah but it's still just a big oval right? Or did the layout change so that our bike can get some wear and tear on both sides of the tires? :argue:
  6. circuit style track inside the oval... 2.5 to 3 miles!!!!!!!!!!! elevation change!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ZOMG!!!!!!!!!!! :afro: :afro: :afro:

If they fall through with this, I'll be all over it like a fat kid on ice cream. And I've got experience with that so I know what I'm doing here.
  8. NOT inside the oval. It is its own track!!! I dont have a picture of it, and it is not on the website yet, but it is NICE!! As it is right now (on paper) they can have quite a few different configurations too!

Damm, I need a TRACK BIKE!!!!!! :banghead:

You should take the FZ down to MMP with us on July 24th!!
  10. Cant do it man. Some day, some day.........................
  11. I've made contact with them, and they are excited about having an organized club for track days and memberships. They are breaking ground this fall and the roadcourse will be one of the first items developed.

I'm really excited, as it sounds like we might be able to have 1-2 formal track days a month, and for those who are members of the "club" we might have access to the facility on off days for "practice".

I don't want to step on anyones toes, but I hope to organize a formal club for motorcycles. Many of the old velocity riders ( have a good history of running a club, and running very organized track days. As long as no one objects.... I will continue the pursuit for establishing a motorcycle club relationship (non-profit) with them for the purpose of track days and "practice" days. The idea of which is to collectivley bargain for cheaper track days and off hour access to the track.

I don't think any of us would oppose such a thing. I know that Ben & Ryan with Idaho Sportbikes have been in contact with them and are looking to be a primary track day provider.
I agree that it would be nice to have club days there as well as opposed to just formal track days hosted by a provider who has rented the track.
  13. Sounds good then, I don't want to be a track day provider... I want to establish a good group of people who can all go out and have fun at the track because we control who is party to the club. This requires things like track clean up, corner working, but in the end it mean spending more money on tires, and less on track fee's.

While I did enjoy an open track day, the club track days where we know each other, help each other, and sort out the ass-holes.... is my idea of loving the sport.
  14. Please don't sort out all the A-holes, I want to be in ;D

No really what ever it takes, I wouldn't even mind paying some "membership fee" to make it a little more legit in someone's eyes :dblthumb:
