Cider's post about Biaggi signing withto ride World Superbike for Corona Suzuki in 2007 has inspired me to start a thread to post and discuss racing shake ups and other changes for the 2007 season. I'll try to keep the top post updated with announcements that everyone finds and posts up here.

    1) Max Biaggi signs with Alstare Corona Extra Suzuki for 2007 WSBK.

    2) Tommy Hayden signs with Yoshumira Suzuki for 2007 AMA season (and Yates is out).

    3) Ducati is out of AMA Superbike for 2007 (and likely 2008).

    4) Mat Mladin Motorsports won't return to the AMA in 2007. I guess this means Marty Cragill is out of a job and IDGSXR1K won't have a chance to blatantly admit to Marty that he STILL doesn't know who the hell he is during next year's MMP event.

    5) Jamie Hacking will move to Kawasaki for the 2007 AMA season

I guess I should have read this thread before I posted a message about Hayden riding for Suzuki in your other Biaggi thread. :stooges:

I think at this point, Yates was probably costing Yoshumira too much money and, despite a strong career, he is declining a bit and they'd rather invest in someone younger.

  6. hayden just became a winner in my book!! :devil1: Sorry Aaron Hey what do you suppose that does to the value of my autographed helmet if anything?

  7. Who says you cant just scribble it out and have hayden sign it.

Here is a great rundown of Tommy Hayden's carrier and clarification that he'll be riding supersport and superbike for Yoshumira. I wonder if Spies will dedicate himself to Superbike and give up supersport now (since he doesn't do well in that class anyway).

  9. Congradulations Yosh!!! Any thoughts on who might pick up yates? Does he end up riding for Mat on the Hotbodys team?

I should have made a seperate post to call attention to item #4 that I added earlier:

There will be no Mat Mladin Motorsports / Hotbodies Racing team next year. Which means Cragill is out of a ride and there is still no place for Yates. I think there is a chance for Yates with Yamaha if they enter Superbike but then again, with Ben Bostrom now without a ride maybe he'll grab the Yamaha spot and be riding with his brother once again.

  11. Poor Mat Mladin (shit I mean Marty Cargill) hehe inside joke for you newbies!!

So apparently, Tommy Hayden and Jamie Hacking are swapping places now?

  13. WOW didnt see that one coming either!! :dunno:

  14. Another title for this thread could be "Silly Season."

Rumor: Yates rides for Jordan Motorsports in 2007.

This dude that I work with went to the Suzuki dealer show and he said that he talked to Yates for about 30 minutes. Yates told him that he is officially going to Jordan Suzuki (although it has not been publically announced yet). Another observation from the show was that when the revealed the new GSXR1000 Mladin rode it in the the showroom with Ben Spies on the back seat. I just thought that was ironic and funny.

With Mid-Ohio over and the championships all done with, Yates has yet to sign a contract for next year. He's admitted to discussions with Jordan Suzuki but also claims to be talking with two other teams and hasn't made a decision yet.

I think he'll probably stick with Suzuki and rie for Jordan but then again, we know Yates can be moody and hold a grudge so maybe he'll switch manufacturers after Yosh (the full factory team) said they don't want him.

Fast by Ferracci entering an MV in the Superstock championship next year? That would be frickin' awesome!!
