Well folks, Idaho finally got around to passing a law that allows motorcyclists to run a red light IF the sensor isn't picking up the bike.
You've still got to wait one full cycle of the light and use caution but at least now we're not stuck waiting until a car comes along to trigger the sensor.

    I found the news here:

? Motorcycles at red lights. And starting in July, motorcyclists who run red lights will get a break ? sort of.

A new law allows the cyclists to go through red lights if they are undetected by the traffic signal sensor. Cycling advocates pushed for the bill, saying motorcycles are often too small to trip the magnetic sensors that govern signals.

Under the law, motorcyclists still must come to a full stop, wait for the traffic light to cycle once, and then "exercise due caution" when entering the intersection to go through the red light.
  2. tomorrow the red lights the day after next the WORLD

  4. nice, now we just need to teach these people over here in nampa to trun left on a red when a BIG sign tells them to. I sat though the light cycleing 3 times.
  5. I thought solid red meant GO, you only have to stop if its flashing red right? ;D
