Bogus Basin road work report

  1. 8 am Twesday I was on the hill and the trucks were lined up and flaggers on the road at the base. I asked if they were going all the way to the top with the chip seal and the flagger lady said no. I think the top needs it more than the bottom. Anyone know more than the flagger if they are going to do the complete road?

Mark, thanks for posting up the info on the construction. It looks like we're out of luck when it comes to convenient local riding that doesn't involve State Street or Eagle rd.

The latest work is that gravel has hit the ground so it's gonna be weeks before the road is decent and it definately won't be great. I also agree with you 100% that the top of the road needs the chip seal WAY more than the bottom.

  3. The lower half is chipset and if it is worm you can feel the tar is soft and may let loose. no white lines yet this weekend. the upper half is like it was. Kinda good for getting adrenaln rush when your back or front tire slides a bit. Still better than nothing. I like going around tight curves; ask my girlfriend. Just don't take anything for granted. Still found some sand at the top. Like I needed any more stimulation.
